CARES Act – Below is a summary of the bill that walks through key provisions important to us, and here is a link to the summary on SaveRestaurants.co.
The key measures we fought for as a coalition are included:
- Four months of unemployment payments for workers
- Expanded loans to local restaurants and forgiveness to cover expenses and payroll
- Coverage of independent restaurants, up to a 500-Employee limit "per restaurant"
- Coverage of independent restaurants that began closing and laying workers off as early as February 15
